there is SO SO much money to be made out of us poor gamblers that noone really wants it to end.
Well saying noone is too harsh. There are a few - family and friends mostly.

MAJOR BLOODSUCKERS - Government (they don't even end their own gaming lottery events - so much money they making)
Charities - yes thats right they Loveeee us
Casino Pub owners - very very fond of us too. they advertise that their pub would be broke if we didn't gamble

Minor bloodsuckers
gambling foundation - are you surprised to see them on the list? well if it weren't for us trying pitifully to stop gambling, who would pay their wages? they compete to get the GOvernment contract - money to set up shop but how much of that lovely money actually goes to the gambler.
Question - when was the last time you saw any of them actually at the pokie venue? Are they visible to us? Just look at this site - where are they?

Anyways lets move on... before I get banned from here hahahaha

I feel like gamblers don't know enough about the RTP return to player percentage.... and it really matters!
When I first started playing pokies about 16 years ago, the local pub had 94% RTP. that some pub now is more like 87.5-89 %
Does it matter? Yes every bit of the percentage matters. It takes so so so much more money going in before some comes out.

Does anyone care? the major bloodsuckers care. They want the percentage to be as low as possible.

It would be so easy to really reduce the harm gambling does to the community.
ANSWER

set ALL the machines to a return percentage of 99%

done.
super easy.
the gambler will win Much more money much more often.
The bloodsuckers ... well they wouldn't receive anywhere near as much money.
So will it be done
NO WAY.

the Major three will make sure it doesn't.
so who out there really cares?
just your family/friends really

RTP - return to person person.

did you know they count a win as a percent of a payout. For example is if you let says 50 lines at at the minimum @ 50c per bet.

they pay you out 30c that counts as a payout. Even tho you lost 20c out of 50c you are still a winner.

They could in theory if you put in $20 in the machine and you won $200 and you kept playing the machine back to the
$40 that will still count as a payout of 200/20 x100 = 1000% even tho you only took $20 bucks extra.

A payout is a payout even its electronic.

FYI: the pub owners get paid per machine per year so if a pub has 8 machines they get a base of $20,000 a year from the government to run these machines.

Hi Positive1
Yes I did know that - and they also say the RTP percentage is "Over the life of the machine!!"
so players are really screwed.

I know many players who just don't care.... sad really. It affects us hugely when the percentages are set at a lower rate.

did you ever check the RTP's before playing a machine?
